I grew up to do pretty much what I wanted to do when I was in Mr. Rettos' history class at dear old CHS. Went to Wooster and from there to Duke to study Russian History. Taught at Marquette and Wake Forest before winding up at UNC Wilmington, where I've been for 22 years. I finished up a term as department chairperson last year and now am returning to the life of a regular professor. Along the way I picked up some wonderful fellow-travelers: my husband, Beau, who works for our local school system and spreads the gospel of lacrosse far and wide; and two great children, a son who just graduated from college and a daughter just starting. Life on the coast of North Carolina has been a blessing, but let's face it, it's not Ohio.
